According to Wikipedia: A shock absorber is a mechanical device designed to smooth out or damp shock impulse, and dissipate kinetic energy.
I believe one of the most basic things God want us to be is a ‘shock absorber’. The other day, I had only a hour lunch and had quite a few things to do.
I went to the post office to post a few items. I was relieved to see as I was walking into the post office that there was no queue. As I stood in front of the counter, the person who was supposed to serve me was on the phone.
Without any recognition or excuses he just carried on talking. I couldn't hear the conversation but took it for granted that he will be quick since he has clearly seen me and know I am there.

Motivation: Faith
Someone once told me you need alot of faith to live with unbelievers and alot of love to live with Christians. ;)
The question is; What motivates you? What determines your world view and makes you act the way you do? Imagine a train. There is a engine in the front pulling the carriages. Is feelings you engine? Is opportunity your engine? Money, acceptance, what people think of you? What pulls your train? What motivates you? As a Christian our FAITH in God and our relationship with Him should be what pulls us. Example: you get sick, what do you do next? What do you do first? Go to the doctor? Drink medicine? Speak God's word in faith?
